Terms of Service

Last updated: 6 July 2026

⚠️ Important note before you publish this: This document was drafted to match QuietKeep's actual current setup (an individual-operated service, based in Bahrain, using Paddle as a Merchant of Record). It is a strong, informed starting point — but it is not a substitute for review by a qualified lawyer, especially before real payments or real user data are involved. Laws vary by country, and a small local review can catch things this draft cannot.

1. Who this agreement is with

QuietKeep ("QuietKeep," "we," "us," or "our") is a trading name operated by Muhammad Waqas Mansha, an individual based in Bahrain. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the QuietKeep website, web application, and any related services (together, the "Service").

By creating an account, using QuietKeep as a guest, or otherwise using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use QuietKeep.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old to use QuietKeep. QuietKeep is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If we learn that we have collected information from a child under 13, we will delete it promptly.

3. Your account

  • You may use QuietKeep as a guest, without creating an account, or you may sign up with an email, Google, or Apple account.
  • If you use QuietKeep as a guest and later create an account, your existing guest entries will be attached to your new account.
  • You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity under your account.
  • You must provide accurate information when creating an account.

4. What QuietKeep does

QuietKeep lets you speak diary entries aloud. Your speech is transcribed and turned into a written entry using third-party AI services (described in our Privacy Policy). You can review and edit every entry before it is saved. QuietKeep organizes entries into "diaries" — either preset categories (Life, Love, Trip, Fitness) or custom diaries you create.

5. Subscriptions (QuietKeep Pro)

  • QuietKeep offers a free tier and a paid subscription tier ("QuietKeep Pro"), billed monthly or yearly.
  • Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless cancelled before the renewal date.
  • Payments are processed by Paddle, acting as the Merchant of Record for your subscription. Your payment relationship for the subscription is with Paddle, not directly with QuietKeep.
  • You can cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and no partial refunds are given for unused time within a period unless required by law in your jurisdiction.
  • Prices may change; we will give you notice before any change takes effect on your next renewal.

6. Printed hardcover books

  • QuietKeep offers an optional, one-time paid service to print your diary entries into a physical hardcover book.
  • Book orders are a separate purchase from your subscription and are processed through a different payment provider than the subscription (details in our Privacy Policy).
  • Books are printed and shipped by a third-party print-on-demand partner (Lulu). Because each book is custom-printed specifically for you, book orders are generally non-refundable and cannot be cancelled once printing has begun, except where required by applicable consumer protection law.
  • Shipping times, customs duties, and import taxes for international orders are your responsibility and vary by destination country.
  • Estimated prices shown before checkout are based on page count at the time of ordering; the final price is confirmed before you complete payment.

7. Your content

  • You own your diary entries, recordings, and any photos you upload. Nothing in these Terms transfers ownership of your content to us.
  • By using the Service, you grant QuietKeep a limited license to store, process, and transmit your content solely to provide the Service to you — for example, sending your voice recording to a transcription provider, or your entry text to an AI writing provider, or your book file to our print partner if you order a book.
  • We do not use your diary entries or recordings to train any AI model, ours or any third party's.
  • You are responsible for the content you create and for making sure you have the right to include any photos you upload (for example, that you have permission to use photos of other people).

8. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use QuietKeep for any unlawful purpose
  • Attempt to access another user's account or data without authorization
  • Upload content that is illegal, infringes someone else's rights, or that you don't have permission to use
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or interfere with the Service

9. Language and AI-generated content

QuietKeep uses third-party AI services to transcribe your speech and to turn transcripts into written diary entries in the language you speak. AI-generated text may occasionally be inaccurate or misinterpret what you said — this is why every entry is shown to you for review before saving, and you can always edit it or view your original spoken transcript.

10. Disclaimers

QuietKeep is provided "as is." We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that AI transcription or writing will always be perfectly accurate. QuietKeep is not a substitute for professional mental health support, medical advice, or legal advice.

11. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, QuietKeep and its founder shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, including loss of data, lost profits, or emotional distress, except where such limitation is not permitted by applicable law.

12. Termination

You may stop using QuietKeep and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms. Upon account deletion, your data will be handled as described in our Privacy Policy.

13. Governing law

These Terms are currently governed by the laws applicable to an individual operating from Bahrain. This section will be updated once QuietKeep completes formal business registration (currently anticipated in the UK or elsewhere, once the business has active revenue) — we will notify users of any change to this section before it takes effect.

14. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you (for example, via email or an in-app notice) before the changes take effect. Continued use of QuietKeep after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
